Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service explain the terms for using the website of PIL Behavioral Health Associates, LLC. By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website.
Important Note: This document is a website-use template and should be reviewed by an attorney or healthcare compliance professional before publication. It does not replace client intake paperwork, informed consent, financial agreements, or HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
Website Purpose
This website provides general information about PIL Behavioral Health Associates, LLC, our services, and how to request services.
The information on this website is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional mental health evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care.
2. No Therapist-Client Relationship Created by Website Use
Using this website, submitting a screening form, sending an email, calling the office, or submitting a contact form does not automatically create a therapist-client relationship.
A therapist-client relationship is established only after the practice reviews your request, appropriate intake paperwork is completed, required consents are signed, clinical appropriateness is reviewed, the practice accepts you into services, and an appointment is scheduled and attended.
3. Emergency and Crisis Disclaimer
This website is not intended for emergency or crisis communication.
If you are in crisis
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, or are in immediate danger, call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or contact a crisis hotline.
You may also call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Do not use this website, email, voicemail, screening forms, or contact forms for emergencies.
4. Services Offered
PIL Behavioral Health Associates, LLC may offer services including individual therapy, telehealth therapy, mental health assessments, ADHD evaluations, computerized objective ADHD testing when clinically appropriate, treatment planning, clinical recommendations, EAP-related services when applicable, and referral coordination when appropriate.
Services may vary based on clinician availability, clinical appropriateness, insurance participation, payer rules, and practice capacity.
5. Telehealth Services
PIL Behavioral Health Associates, LLC provides telehealth services across South Carolina.
Clients are responsible for confirming they are physically located in South Carolina during telehealth sessions, attending sessions from a private and safe location, using a reliable internet connection, providing accurate emergency contact information, and informing the clinician of their physical location at the time of service when requested.
Telehealth may not be appropriate for every client or every clinical situation. The practice reserves the right to recommend a higher level of care, in-person services, crisis evaluation, or referral to another provider when clinically appropriate.
6. Screening Form
The screening form helps us gather basic information to determine whether our services may be appropriate.
Submitting a screening form does not guarantee acceptance as a client, a specific clinician assignment, a specific appointment time, insurance coverage, a diagnosis, a medication referral, or a specific treatment outcome.
The practice will review submitted information and follow up regarding next steps when appropriate.
7. Appointments, Cancellations, and No-Shows
Clients are expected to attend scheduled appointments on time.
Cancellation, late cancellation, and no-show policies will be provided during the intake process and may be included in the practice informed consent, financial agreement, or other client documents.
Clients are responsible for reviewing and following all practice policies provided before or during treatment.
8. Insurance and Payment
PIL Behavioral Health Associates, LLC may accept insurance, private pay, or EAP-related payment arrangements depending on eligibility, provider participation, payer requirements, and service type.
Insurance coverage is not guaranteed. Clients are responsible for understanding their benefits, copays, deductibles, coinsurance, authorization requirements, and any non-covered services.
Clients may be financially responsible for services not covered or denied by insurance, subject to the practice financial policies and applicable law.
9. ADHD Evaluations and Assessments
ADHD evaluations and mental health assessments are based on clinical judgment and may include clinical interviews, rating scales, symptom review, record review, and computerized objective testing when clinically appropriate.
Testing alone does not determine a diagnosis. Assessment results are reviewed as part of a comprehensive clinical process.
The practice may provide recommendations, including referral to medication management providers when appropriate. The practice does not guarantee that another provider will prescribe medication or accept the evaluation.
10. Website Information Is Not Clinical Advice
The information on this website is general and should not be used to diagnose or treat any mental health condition.
If you have specific questions about your mental health, symptoms, diagnosis, medication, treatment, or safety, speak directly with a qualified healthcare provider.
